Free NBA Picks Today: Tuesday October 17th

I'm currently still working on my NBA standings predictions article. I don't know if I'm going to finish it before 8pm tonight. The reason why it's taking longer than normal is because I'm literally going through EVERY team's schedule and picking who I think is going to win and lose that game.

In any case, I'm done with the Cavs, Celtics, Warriors and Rockets, so I will post their records here.

I'm also going to tell you who I like tonight in this 2 game slate.

NBA 2017 Standings Predictions

  • Cleveland Cavilers 58-24
  • Boston Celtics 57-25
  • Golden State Warriors 70-12
  • Houston Rockets 54-28
Free NBA Picks Today: Tuesday October 17th

In the first game, I like the Boston Celtics to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight. I believe Kyrie Irving is going to be highly motivated. I believe Boston is the younger, more athletic team. LeBron James and Kevin Love are also not 100%. If you want to be a little safer, take the Celtics against the spread.

In the second game, I like the Golden State Warriors to beat the Houston Rockets. However, I don't know if it's going to be a 10 point victory. I would feel comfortable taking the Warriors to get the victory. However a 10 point victory seems a little high to me.

NBA is back!!! So excited!

Also, if you play fantasy basketball, I wrote 2 articles for The DFS Masters Daily Fantasy Sports to help you build your teams on Draft as well as DraftKings. Check them out below:

MLB Postseason Bracket Playoff Predictions 2017

Will the Chicago Cubs Repeat As World Champions?

It's October! One of my favorite times of the year! For October means postseason baseball!

Here are the teams that made it to the MLB Postseason this year:

American League Postseason

Division Winners
  • Boston Red Sox
  • Cleveland Indians
  • Houston Astros
Wildcard Qualifiers
  • New York Yankees
  • Minnesota Twins
National League Postseason

Division Winners
  • Washington Nationals
  • Chicago Cubs
  • Los Angeles Dodgers
Wildcard Qualifers
  • Colorado Rockies
  • Arizona Diamondbacks
In my MLB Predictions 2017 article I was able to successfully predict ALL 3 of the American League Division winners at the beginning of the season. However, I got both wildcard teams wrong, predicting the Mariners and the Blue Jays. I was also able to successfully predict 2 out of the 3 National League Division winners, picking the Cubs and the Dodgers. However, I had the Nationals winning the wild card and thought that the Mets <cough cough> would actually win the division. I also had the Giants winning the wild card.

Last year, I successfully predicted that the Chicago Cubs would beat the Cleveland Indians in the World Series at the beginning of the playoffs as you can see below.

So on that note, let's see who I am predicting will win this year:

American League Wildcard

On the American League side, I have the New York Yankees defeating the Minnesota Twins in the American League wildcard game. The Yankees just match up better than the Twins at every area. I would be shocked to see the Yankees lose that game.

National League Wildcard

On the National League side, I like the Arizona Diamondbacks over the Colorado Rockies. The Rockies are a different team hitting away from Colorado than they are at home and they will be in Arizona for this one.

American League Division Series

For the American League Division Series, I originally had the Boston Red Sox going to the World Series this year. However, the Astros have beaten the Red Sox 4 games to 3 this year. I don't see the Red Sox getting by the Astros, so I'm picking the Astros to win.

On the other side of the division series, I would love nothing more but to see the Yankees beat the Indians. However, I think the Indians simply match up better and I see the Indians coming away with the victory in this one.

National League Division Series

For the National League Division Series, I like the Washington Nationals to knock off the defending champion Chicago Cubs. I think starting pitching is SO important in the playoffs and the Nationals clearly have the better starting pitching.

On the other side of the division series, The Los Angeles Dodgers have for the most part looked like the best team in baseball. I see them easily dispatching the Diamondbacks.

American League Championship Series

In the Championship Series, I have the Cleveland Indians playing the Houston Astros. I think both of these teams are excellent teams. The Indians, however, have the playoff experience that the Astros do not have as of yet. I believe that experience will pay off and as a result, I'm picking the Indians to take it home.

National League Championship Series

On the National League side, I have the Los Angeles Dodgers playing the Washington Nationals. I think this series will go the full 7 games. However, in the end, I see the Dodgers walking away with the victory.

World Series

Finally, in the World Series, I have the Cleveland Indians playing the Los Angeles Dodgers. I think this too will be a hard fought series. However, I think that the Indians finally end the drought and walk away as the World Series Champions!

So what are your thoughts? Agree? Disagree? Comment below!

2017 NBA Playoffs - Who Will Win The NBA Championship?

Can LeBron James lead the Cavs to back to back NBA Championships?

It's time for the NBA Playoffs!

The NBA Playoffs is one of my favorite times of the year! The top 16 teams in the league face off in a best of 7 game series to see who will be crowned the NBA Champion.

Last year, the Cleveland Cavaliers were able to come back from a 3 to 1 deficit to win the NBA Championship.

Who is going to win this year? Let's take a look at the brackets and find out!

New addition this year: I now include the Vegas odds for each team to win the NBA championship. Just in case you aren't familiar with how Vegas odds works, it works like this. If the odds have a minus that's the amount of money you have to bet to win $100 (i.e -150 means you need to bet $150 to win $100). If the odds have a plus, that's the amount of money that you WIN if you bet $100 (i.e. +150 means if you bet $100 you win $150)

Eastern Conference Playoffs

1) Boston Celtics (+1600)
8) Chicago Bulls (+25000)

This is not a typical 1 vs 8 series. This Chicago Bulls team is loaded with a good combination of talent plus playoff tested championship veteran experience. They also match up very well against the Celtics. The Bulls rebound well. The Celtics do not. The old Rajon Rondo is back and Dwayne Wade is recovered.

However, in the end, the Celtics simply have more talent and more depth. This is going to be a long series but I see the Celtics pulling it out in the end.

Prediction - Celtics In 7

2) Cleveland Cavaliers (+333)
7) Indiana Pacers (+25000)

The Cavaliers looked really bad towards the end of the season. So bad that they ended up giving up the number one seed and home court advantage throughout the playoffs. However, we know that this team knows how to turn it on when necessary and this is no exception.

Paul George is a tremendous 2 way talent and he's good enough to help this Pacers team steal a game, maybe even 2 from the defending champions. However, there's no way this Pacers team is stopping LeBron James and company.

Prediction - Cavs in 5

3) Toronto Raptors (+3300)
6) Milwaukee Bucks (+25000)

I'm really looking forward to watching this series! I think this might be one of the best series in the first round! You have the Toronto Raptors, who were good enough to make it to the Eastern Conference finals last year taking on a young and very talented Milwaukee Bucks team.

The Raptors picking up Serge Ibaka and PJ Tucker makes them even better than they were last year. However, Ginnas Antetokoumpo is a legitimate star emerging into a superstar and this Bucks team will not go down without a fight.

Prediction - Raptors in 7

4) Washington Wizards (+4000)
5) Atlanta Hawks (+25000)

Even though this is a 4 vs 5 seed, I feel like the Wizards should be able to handle the Hawks with no problems. The Hawks are a good team, when they actually play good. However, they are also very inconsistent. The Wizards are one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now. They are peaking at the right time and while I don't expect this series to be a walk through the park, I do expect John Wall an Bradley Beal to carry this team to the next round.

Prediction - Wizards in 6

1) Boston Celtics (+1600)
4) Washington Wizards (+4000)

This is another series that I'm really looking forward to. Both of these teams have high powered offenses with star players that can score at will. The Wizards have even more depth than the Bulls off the bench.

I think either one of these teams are capable of beating the other in a 7 game series. In the regular season each team won on its home court so I believe this is going to come down to the home court advantage. Which the Celtics have, so I'm going to take the Celtics in this one.

Prediction - Celtics in 7

2) Cleveland Cavaliers (+333)
3) Toronto Raptors (+3300)

Here we have a rematch of the Eastern Conference finals last year. The Toronto Raptors have definitely made some upgrades. They are a much tougher defensive team in the front court and they while they can't stop LeBron James, they can at least slow him down from just having his way driving to the paint at will.

The problem is the Cavaliers have gotten better too, particularly with the ability to bring Deron Williams and Kyle Krover off the bench. This Cavs team has more depth than the one they had last year that won the championship. When you combine that with the fact that the Raptors didn't play well in Cleveland last year, that is a cause for pause on how far this team can go.

Prediction - Cavaliers in 6

1) Boston Celtics (+1600)
2) Cleveland Cavaliers (+333)

I really thought this was going to be a good series and it still may be. However, that last game they played really exposed the Celtics. The Cavaliers just manhandled the Celtics and demolished them. They really sent a message to them that when they want to turn it on they can have their way with this team.

The other problem is I'm predicting the Celtics to have a really tough road to get to the Eastern Conference finals. Whereas, I'm expecting the Cavs road to be a little easier. When you factor all of that in, I expect the Cavaliers to win pretty easily.

Prediction - Cavaliers in 5

Western Conference Playoffs

1) Golden State Warriors (-160)
8) Portland Trailblazers (+30000)

The Golden State Warriors should have no problems advancing past this team. When you have two of the top 5 players in the world both starting for your team, that's all you need to know about how good your team actually is. They also swept this Blazer team in the regular season, although the last two games were close. The other thing you have to keep in mind is that none of these games featured the Trailblazers new big man Jusuf Nurkic

The Blazers have three players who are really good in Damion Lillard, C.J. McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic. Unfortunately, Nurkic is injured and his status for game 1 is yet to be determined. I can see this team winning a game at home, but that's about it.

Prediction - Warriors in 5

2) San Antonio Spurs (+600)
7) Memphis Grizzlies (+15000)

I think the Grizzlies would be capable of an upset if they faced any other team than the Spurs. The problem with the Spurs is that they are better than the Grizzlies in all of the areas that the Grizzlies are good at. The Grizzlies are a good defensive team. The Spurs are a better defensive team. The Grizzlies are a tough 3 point shooting team when they are hitting their shots. The Spurs are the best 3 point shooting team in the league.

The Grizzlies are much better on the injury front this year than they were last year. Add that to the fact that they were able to get 2 games against the Spurs in the regular season and I think they can get a game in the playoffs. However, if you think this team is upsetting the Spurs in a 7 game series, you probably also still believe in the Easter Bunny!

Prediction - Spurs in 5

3) Houston Rockets (+1600)
6) Oklahoma City Thunder (+6600)

What more can you ask for than getting to see the two men who are most likely to win the Most Valuable Player award battle it out in the first round? Do not be deceived by the Rockets 3-1 regular series record against the Thunder. Those were ALL close games and I fully expect this to be a very close hard fought series.

The Thunder have the same problem that the Grizzlies have. What they are good at (fast paced run and gun offense) the Rockets are better at. 'Antoni teams (I removed the D because his teams don't play any defense) are notorious for lots of 3 point shooting. That makes the offense explosive when they are hitting but sluggish when they aren't. Harden and Westbrook both turn the ball over a lot as well, so that can open up opportunities for both teams. In the end though, I like the Rockets. They just have way too many weapons, whereas the Thunder just have one nuclear bomb in Westbrook.

Prediction - Rockets in 7

4) Los Angeles Clippers (+5000)
5) Utah Jazz (+6600)

ESPN has this series as the 2nd highest series most likely to end in an upset and with good reason too. Both of these teams finished with identical records. The Clippers have the star power both in coach (Doc Rivers) as well as in their Big 3 of Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan. However, they definitely underperformed in the regular season. Going into the regular season they were suppose to be one of two teams who could potentially knock off Golden State. The Rockets took that from them and they BARELY squeezed by with the 4th seed.

The Jazz play the slowest pace in the NBA and if they can force their pace on the Clippers, they can cause them problems. There's always at least one upset in the 1st round and if you notice I haven't picked any upsets as of yet. That means its time to pick my upset and I'm picking the Utah Jazz to knock off the Los Angeles Clippers.

Prediction - Jazz in 7

1) Golden State Warriors (-160)
5) Utah Jazz (+6600)

The Golden State Warriors match up very well against the Jazz. Their high paced offense is usually explosive enough to overwhelm the Jazz as you can see when you look at the fact that the Warriors have won 7 out of the last 8 games these teams have played. The formula for the Jazz beating the Warriors is simple. They must get the lead, defend the 3 and grab rebounds.

Even though the Jazz were able to take one game this season using the very formula I just described, I don't see that happening in the playoffs. The Warriors are just too talented and too good. I expect them to make quick work of this Jazz team.

Prediction - Warriors in 4

2) San Antonio Spurs (+600)
3) Houston Rockets (+1600)

When these two teams played each other in the regular season they were all very close games. However, the Spurs won 3 out of 4 and it all comes down to 3 point shooting defense. Consider the following number...

That's the Rockets three point shooting percentage this season against the Spurs. The Rockets normally shoot 35.7%. Mind you the Spurs are also the best three point shooting team in the league. It will be a close hard fought series just like in the regular season. However in the end, I expect the Spurs to come out on top.

Prediction - Spurs in 7

1) Golden State Warriors (-160)
2) San Antonio Spurs (+600)

If there is any team that is capable of stopping the Golden State Warriors it is the San Antonio Spurs. They blew them out twice in the regular season and it took the Warriors 3 quarters just to get the lead in the game that they won. To be fair, one of the games both teams rested their starters so there's that.
There aren't too many people in the league that can shut down Kevin Durant. However, one of the players who can plays for the Spurs and his name is Kawhi Leonard.

The Golden State Warriors though are still the most talented team in the NBA. What makes that Durant signing so huge is that even if Leonard can shut down Durant, you still have to deal with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. That's a lot to ask even if you have arguably the greatest coach in NBA history.

Prediction - Warriors in 7

NBA Finals

1) Golden State Warriors (-160)
2) Cleveland Cavaliers (+333)

This will be the third time these two teams met in the NBA finals. You have the video game cheat code Warriors who are completely stacked going up against the undisputed best player in the world right now in LeBron James. If there was any doubt how good James is, let me give you a little reminder...

Obviously the Warriors team this year is power packed with talent. The Cavaliers added more depth though on their bench picking up Kyle Krover and Deron Williams. They also pulled off the unthinkable last year, coming back from 3 to 1 to defeat a 73 win Warriors team.

However, even with the best player in the world, I think it's a little too much to expect the Cavs to defeat this team. There is a reason why the Warriors are the ONLY team that have negative odds to win the NBA championship. They are really that talented and really that good. Unless an injury or suspension occurs, I fully expect the Golden State Warriors to win another NBA Championship.

Prediction - Warriors in 6

MLB Predictions 2017: Projected Standings, Playoff Results And World Series Champion

Will the Chicago Cubs become the first team since the 88-90 Yankees to go back to back?

Welcome to Sports 4 Profit! Sports 4 Profit is a company designed to help you as a sports fan to monetize your passion for sports! I am Roosevelt Cooper, the founder and President of this company. Many years ago I started an annual blog post where I would share my predictions for NBA, NFL and MLB. Now that I have this new company, my annual predictions posts will be on this website going forward.

Before I begin with the predictions, I want to talk about the ways that you can profit from sports if you have the ability to predict which teams are going to be good and which teams are going to be bad this season.

The first and most obvious way that you can profit is by gambling. The casinos and betting establishments offer what are called "Future" bets that you can make. If you believe you are confident in knowing who is going to win you can bet a future on it. The casinos and betting websites offer baseball futures on the following categories:
  • World Series Champion
  • National League Champion
  • American League Champion
  • NL East, NL Central, NL West, AL East, AL Central, AL West Division Champions
  • Over/Under odds on number of regular season wins for each team
The second way that you can profit from being able to predict teams is by playing fantasy sports. By knowing which teams are going to be good, that will also help you in knowing which players are going to be good for fantasy purposes.

The third way that you can profit from being able to predict teams is by starting your own blog, podcast or video show. If you can go on record and correctly predict which teams are going to do well, sports fans are going to pay attention to what you have to say. This will help you build your following and thus help you build a profitable blog, podcast or video show.

If you are interested in learning how to monetize your passion using any of these strategies, Sports 4 Profit is here to help! Click here to book an appointment with us so we can help you monetize your passion for baseball! You will want to choose the "Free 15 Minute Strategy Session" option in the calendar.

With that, let's get to the predictions!!!

2017 MLB Regular Season Predictions

Last year I predicted that the Chicago Cubs would win the World Series. I was correct! Here is how I see the regular season playing out this year!

American League East

1. Boston Red Sox (97-65)
2. Toronto Blue Jays (86-76)
3. New York Yankees (83-79)
4. Baltimore Orioles (80-82)
5. Tampa Bay Rays (75-87)

The Red Sox are the cream of the division. The Blue Jays will miss Encarnacion but they can still hit. The Yankees are rebuilding but the "baby bombers" are going to be fun to watch. The Orioles still have some powerful bats, but I'm very concerned about their starting rotation. The Rays will be better than some people believe, but definitely a step down from the rest of the division.

American League Central

1. Cleveland Indians (96-66)
2. Detroit Tigers (81-81)
3. Kansas City Royals (75-87)
4. Minnesota Twins (71-91)
5. Chicago White Sox (65-97)

The Indians are a great team that has gotten even better adding Encarnacion and having Miller for a full season. The Tigers have two great aces and a stacked offense, but not much of anything else. I actually think the Royals are better than a 75 win team but if they cannot win, they will make trades at the trade deadline and rebuild. The Twins will be better than last year but still not that good. The White Sox are rebuilding and will not be any good at all this year.

American League West

1. Houston Astros (90-72)
2. Seattle Mariners (87-75)
3. Texas Rangers (85-77)
4. Los Angeles Angels (78-84)
5. Oakland Athletics (70-92)

The Astros have upgraded their hitting with an already talented core. With Dyson and Segura at the 1 and 2, the Mariners are going to be very dangerous. The Rangers are good but I am concerned that they didn't do enough in the offseason to keep up with the rest of the division. The Angels added some nice pieces but not enough to make them contenders. The Athletics just don't have enough to compete this season.

National League East

1. New York Mets (92-70)
2. Washington Nationals (91-71)
3. Miami Marlins (76-86)
4. Atlanta Braves (73-89)
5. Philadelphia Phillies (71-91)

The Mets have some injury concerns in the rotation but if they can be healthy they can beat anybody. The Nationals have a talented rotation and a great offense. They still need more help in relief though. The Marlins look decent but as always Stanton's health is the big question mark. The Braves and the Phillies are in all out rebuilding mode, with a best case scenario of going .500.

National League Central

1. Chicago Cubs (100-62)
2. St. Louis Cardinals (86-76)
3. Pittsburgh Pirates (80-82)
4. Cincinnati Reds (68-94)
5. Milwaukee Brewers (65-97)

The defending champions still have the most talented team on paper despite losing Dexter Fowler. The Cardinals are always dangerous and is definitely the number one team that I am concerned that I may not be giving them enough credit. I thought the Pirates were going to be pretty good last year and they weren't that good so my expectations are a lot lower this year. The Reds have a decent starting rotation but that's about it. The Brewers won't be good at all this year but they have arguably the best farm system in the National League so their future is bright.

National League West

1. Los Angeles Dodgers (94-68)
2. San Francisco Giants (87-75)
3. Colorado Rockies (77-85)
4. Arizona Diamondbacks (76-86)
5. San Diego Padres (64-98)

You can make a legitimate argument for either the Dodgers or the Giants. However, I like the Dodgers a little bit more as I think they have a more talented and deeper rotation. The Giants have upgraded their bullpen though in a MAJOR way bringing on Mark Melancon. The Rockies can still hit of course. The question is whether their pitching is good enough to help them make the next step. The Diamondbacks aren't good enough to compete, but they do have some nice pieces. The Padres are going to be trash this year. 64 wins could even be generous as this team is certainly capable of losing more than 100 games this year.

American League Division Winners - Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Indians, Houston Astros
American League Wildcard Qualifiers - Seattle Mariners, Toronto Blue Jays

National League Division Winners - New York Mets, Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers
National League Wildcard Qualifiers - Washington Nationals, San Francisco Giants

2017 MLB Playoff Predictions

AL Wildcard - Toronto Blue Jays defeat Seattle Mariners
NL Wildcard - San Francisco Giants defeat Washington Nationals

AL Division Series - Boston Red Sox defeat Toronto Blue Jays (3-0)
AL Division Series - Cleveland Indians defeat Houston Astros (3-0)
NL Division Series - Chicago Cubs defeat San Francisco Giants (3-1)
NL Division Series - New York Mets defeat Los Angeles Dodgers (3-2)

AL Championship Series - Boston Red Sox defeat Cleveland Indians (4-2)
NL Championship Series - New York Mets defeat Chicago Cubs (4-3)

World Series - New York Mets defeat Boston Red Sox (4-3)

For those of you who know me you are probably completely shocked by this prediction. For you know that my two LEAST favorite teams are the Boston Red Sox (My least favorite team) and the New York Mets (My 2nd least favorite team). However, I have to take my fan cap off for a second and put on my baseball cap. My baseball cap is saying that the Mets are going to win it all this season.

The Boston Red Sox are absolutely loaded and they got even better now that they were able to sign Chris Sale. There's really only two concerns that you can have with this team. Losing "Big Papi" at the heart of the order is a concern. The other concern is the bullpen outside of Thornberg in the 8th and Kimbrel in the 9th. Other than the Indians who are also VERY loaded as well, I really don't see any team in the American League that is going to stop this team. The Indians are certainly capable of beating the Red Sox. However, I like the Red Sox over them to make it to the World Series this year.

The big issue with the Mets is the health of their pitching staff. We got a taste of how good this team could be in 2015 when they swept the Cubs to make it to the World Series. However, the reason why this team is a big question mark is because you have Matt Harvey, Jacob DeGrom, Steven Matz and Zack Wheeler all coming off surgery. DESPITE all of this, this team still won 87 games and qualified for the wild card. They were able to keep Cespedes and Neil Walker keeping their lineup good enough to score enough runs to win behind that powerful rotation.

While I believe the Cubs are a much better team, I absolutely like the Mets chances in a 7 game series with arguably the most gifted rotation in the major leagues. It's not like beating the Cubs is impossible. The Mets swept them just 2 years ago. If injuries keep the Mets from preforming to their full potential, I love the Cubs chances of getting back to the World Series. However, if the Cubs have to go through a healthy Mets rotation, look for the Mets to pull off the upset and win it all this season.

So that's my picks this season! Comment below and let me know if you agree or disagree!

Goal Setting: The First Step To Earning A Profit From Sports!

So you are ready to start earning a profit from sports as a sports fan?

Good! I was too back in 2014 when I made the decision to pursue fantasy sports on a serious basis. However, we all have to start from somewhere and I had to start at the beginning.

Everything that you want to accomplish in your life starts in your mind first.

Earning a profit from sports is no exception. The idea must begin in your mind first and from there it can be made tangible and turned into reality.

How do you take the desire to make money from sports and turn it into a profitable opportunity? It starts by setting a goal.

What is a goal? It is a specific result that you want to achieve or accomplish. Therefore, if you want to set a goal, you must be specific.

Saying "I want to make money from fantasy sports" is not specific.

Saying "I want to host 5 Madden 2017 tournaments in 2017 with a minimum of 24 players each." IS a specific goal.

You want to make your goal more like the latter and not like the former.

When I got started, my first goal was to make my money back. I initially made a $25 deposit. I lost that. Then I made another $25 deposit. I lost that. Then I made a $50 deposit. I was eventually able to make back my $100. I did this towards the end of my first full year playing daily fantasy sports.

My second goal was to take first place in a guaranteed prize pool tournament. This would allow me to take my initial investment out along with a very healthy profit and continue to play with the money I made for the tournament.

I accomplished this goal towards the end of my 2nd year playing fantasy sports. I took down first place in a fantasy NBA tournament beating out 23,000 other entries. I also took third place in another tournament that same night.

How do you set a goal?

Over the course of many years in business and sales, I learned how to set and achieve goals. When it comes to setting goals one of the simplest and most effective systems that I have found for setting goals is called the S.M.A.R.T goals system.

What Are S.M.A.R.T Goals?

S.M.A.R.T. is an acronym for goal setting that helps you set effective goals. Here is a breakdown of each part of the process:

  • S - Specific. In order for a goal to be effective you must be specific and state exactly what it is that you want to accomplish so that you know that the goal has become reality. I already explained how to be specific above.
  • M - Measurable. In order for a goal to be effective you must have a system of measurement so that you will know the exact moment where the goal has been accomplished. It could be a certain number of wins, cash won or profit in fantasy sports. It could be a certain number of readers or viewers to your sports blog or video show. Whatever it is, it needs to be something that you can measure and put a number to.
  • A - Attainable. Your goal must be something that you can actually attain. For instance, setting a goal to earn a billion dollars in fantasy sports is simply unattainable. There isn't enough money right now in the industry where billion dollar prizes are possible. Setting a goal to earn a million dollars in fantasy sports is attainable. There are million dollar cash prizes that are won right now by people playing the game.
  • R - Realistic. Realistic is different from attainable. You can have an attainable goal. However, it might not be realistic. For example, setting a goal for your podcast to have a million monthly downloads might be an attainable goal. However, if you are just launching your podcast today and your goal is to reach a million next week, that is not a realistic goal. To make a goal more realistic usually involves reducing the goal number or increasing the time that you allow to reach it.
  • T - Timing. The key to a goal is it must have a deadline. If there is no deadline there is no goal because you don't have a specific timeframe for when it needs to be accomplished.
So now that I have explained goal setting to you, why don't you set a goal that you can begin to work towards in turning your passion for sports into a profit. If you haven't decided what vehicle you are going to use, begin by setting a goal to select your vehicle. If you already have a chosen vehicle, set a goal related to that vehicle.

If you need help in selecting that vehicle, I recommend you check out our FREE 10 day email course! In this course you will learn 9 ways that you can begin to earn a profit from sports. Sign up today!
